SPH Engineering Supports the Future of Innovation: Cloudcroft High School TSA Team!

Recently, SPH Engineering sponsored the Cloudcroft High School Technology Student Association (TSA) Competition Team from New Mexico! These bright, young minds had an incredible challenge: designing, sourcing, building, and operating a drone using open-source autopilot software capable of deploying and operating a “claw” payload.

The competition wasn’t easy! The students had to: 

  • Pick up objects from the ground and transport them to a designated area
  • Navigate tight obstacles
  • Manage crew tasks efficiently throughout the operation

And guess what? The Cloudcroft TSA Team took home the Bronze Medal in the New Mexico State Championship and has advanced to the National Championship in Nashville, Tennessee this summer!

We’re super proud of these students and their achievements. Can’t wait to see them take on the National Championship!
