QA Engineer (Software & Hardware)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and clear documentation.
  • Execute tests on desktop applications to verify functional and performance criteria.
  • Conduct exciting field testing using drones and specialized sensors (methane detectors, magnetometers, echo sounders, GPR, and more).
  • Collaborate closely with developers and engineers to identify and track defects using JIRA.
  • Perform integration testing for advanced software-hardware systems.
  • Create and run automated tests supporting CI/CD workflows.
  • Analyze system performance, detect bottlenecks, and address vulnerabilities.
  • Design and carry out test cases for embedded systems and low-level interactions.
  • Help design and implement test environments for complex technology setups.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant QA or testing experience (software, hardware, or both).
  • Technical degree (Engineering, Computer Science, or related field).
  • Strong manual testing skills and hands-on experience with complex software/hardware.
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes.
  • Skilled at working with large datasets for testing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in JIRA or similar task/defect management tools.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • English at C1 proficiency or higher - as we are an international company; additional languages are a plus.
  • Category B drivers license and access to a car for commuting/field testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with drones or robotic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Appium) and automation frameworks.
  • Experience testing embedded/real-time control systems.
  • Background in data-driven testing for sensor technologies.
  • Exposure to hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
