The Geography Department of Universität Innsbruck uses UgCS to plan and control LiDAR missions in steep and complex terrain. The aim is to automatically recognize objects such as rocks or trees in the drone acquired data using specially developed algorithms. A lot of different information can be derived from this, like tree heights to slope movements.
