About

GICHD

The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) is dedicated to mitigating community risks stemming from explosive ordnance, explicitly concentrating on landmines, cluster munitions, and stockpiled ammunition.

The Center's mission is to enhance and advance the sector for the advantage of its collaborators, including national and local authorities, donors, the United Nations, various international and regional organizations, non-governmental organizations, commercial enterprises, and academic institutions. It accomplishes this through the integration of four key service areas: on-the-ground assistance with a focus on guidance and training, multilateral efforts centered on establishing norms and standards, research and innovation geared toward pioneering solutions, and the promotion of dialogue and collaboration.
