The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) launches the EAGE Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAV) community.

This technical community is supposed to become the network of members interested in sharing knowledge and developing skills among geoscientists and engineers exploring and working on drone technology, robotics, drone geosciences, terrestrial remote sensing with applications to the areas of natural hazards, geotechnics, and site investigations, environmental geosciences, rock outcrop digital imaging & analysis, resource and mining exploration, etc.

Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles apply to a wide range of applications: from observation of underground features to carrying out detailed surveys of the earth. EAGE accompanies the developments in this field by providing a platform to discuss challenges and solutions.

The EAGE UAV community is open to members in all stages of their careers.

The community is coordinated by a Committee of experts from Europe and USA. Alexey Dobrovolskiy, CTO of SPH Engineering, is among board members: ‘It is a great honor for my company to contribute to the development of UAV applications in geophysics and hydrography. Together with my colleagues from SeisBEE, UAVE, Teyra GeoConsulting LLC, and Skipper NDT we are proud to take the lead in establishing a knowledge-sharing network on UAV within EAGE’.

Meet community members at the upcoming Near Surface Geoscience ’22 in Belgrad
to catch up with Alexey of SPH Engineering at stand 10.
