Alexei Yankelevich, Head of Software Development at SPH Engineering

Tell us something about your current position and professional background.(e.g. education, professional background, how did you come to drones?)

Alexei Yankelevich (SPH Engineering): I am a Co-Founder and Head of Software Development at SPH Engineering, a multiproduct drone software company, and UAV integration services provider. I was the key developer behind the flagship UgCS drone mission planner back in 2013. Since then, I have been responsible for R&D projects, including the introduction of ATLAS, an AI-powered platform to process data gathered with a UAV. Today, I lead product development and liaise with main UgCS and ATLAS customers. Before co-founding SPH Engineering, I had gained 10+ years of experience in the software industry. My technical expertise covers different areas like enterprise solutions and embedded systems.

What is your perspective on the counter-drone market in the next years? (e.g. adoption, ramp-up, regulation, market consolidation)

Alexei Yankelevich (SPH Engineering): We do not provide solutions for the counter-drone market. Maybe except the UgCS Commander, which helps to simulate drone attack.
