PR & Communications Manager

SPH Engineering is looking for a hands-on PR & Communications Manager (Individual Contributor) who will fully own SPH Engineering’s external communications.

This is a standalone role with no established PR function in place yet. You will be expected to develop and execute strategy and tactics from scratch, taking full responsibility for planning and delivering the company’s PR and communication priorities.

You will act as the voice of the company across multiple channels and audiences, combining creative storytelling with structured content planning. You’ll work across:

  • Media & PR: outreach, press releases, relationships with journalists and outlets
  • Partner marketing: coordination of joint initiatives and representing marketing in partner meetings and collaborations
  • Website and owned platforms: content planning and updates
  • Social media: LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook (strategy only)

This role is ideal for a self-starter with a strong B2B communications background who is ready to build the function from the ground up and deliver impactful results independently.

Responsibilities

  • Update and execute brand and communication strategy to effectively align all product strategies under the SPH brand and enhance brand visibility and engagement;
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive content guidelines to ensure our value-selling messaging is consistent and impactful across all platforms;
  • Coordinate content planning calendar in close collaboration with all product marketing teams to ensure steady mentions of all product lines and their news in the media;
  • Manage the company’s social media strategies across all channels, including YouTube, under the overall SPH and its product line communication strategies;
  • Lead and manage our PR campaigns, including drafting press releases, managing media inquiries, and establishing relationships with media outlets, partners and influencers to enhance SPH’s and its products' public image;
  • Support relationships with the company’s partner network, executing regular co-branded PR and marketing activities;
  • Manage the translation processes to ensure the company’s content resonates with the global target audience and drives SEO traffic;
  • Review and analyze the performance of PR, partnership, and social media activities regularly using various analytics tools and reports;
  • Manage the company's online and offline events calendar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing & communication, journalism, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a similar role, ideally in a B2B environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing principles, key metrics and last trends with a focus on PR, SMM, and Partnership marketing;
  • Ability to manage PR strategy and activities independently, including crafting press releases, establishing media & opinion leaders relations;
  • Success stories of driving engagement and conversion through content on LinkedIn, FB, Instagram and/or other media channels (traditional and digital);
  • Exceptional writing and content creation skills in English, with a proven ability to craft engaging and persuasive content;
  • Strong research skills and an ability to simplify complex IT and scientific topics into accessible content for a general audience;
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with both frontline colleagues, top stakeholders and key partners;
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with remote teams to balance solutions in accordance with budget, schedule and tools, with demonstrated project management skills;
  • Efficiently translating marketing and communication metrics into business results for top management;
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative ideas.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in or knowledge of the drone industry,  mining, construction, scientific or environmental research;
  • Public anti-crisis communication skills;
  • Experience with SEO optimization, ensuring high organic rankings;
  • Chinese, Spanish, or other languages.
