Head of drone-based solutions for the construction industry

SPH Engineering is looking for an experienced Business Development Leader who will help us grow our business in the construction industry by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership and accountability over the revenue from customers in the construction industry
  • Creating and driving growth strategy in the construction industry, including products and solutions portfolios, go-to-market, and customer acquisition strategies
  • Driving collaboration with Product and Technology teams to adapt existing portfolios to new business opportunities
  • Identifying and recruiting new partners, suppliers, and vendors to expand our offering to customers
  • Supporting the Sales team on complex sales to the construction industry by providing domain expertise and in-depth knowledge of products and solutions portfolios
  • Developing and providing training, sales decks, and other custom materials to the Sales team to help them scale our joint business
  • Together with the Marketing team, planning and executing marketing campaigns to acquire new customers and develop existing ones.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in the role of business development director/head of product in a large company (preferably, UAV services, construction services, surveying);
  • Deep understanding of the construction industry, related operational processes (mapping, surveying, construction operations, health & safety, etc.), and key players in the market;
  • Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience;
  • Effective interpersonal skills and comfort working in and through a cross-functional organization;
  • Work independently, with an entrepreneurial and growth mindset while also effectively working as a part of a team;
  • Strong analytical aptitude and ability to understand and relate to the engineering mindset;
  • Highly attention to detail and organization, strong business acumen;
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills;
  • Full professional proficiency in English;
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, MBA degree would be beneficial;
  • Readiness to business trips.
